Madeleine combines editorial expertise with lifelong sailing experience. Guided by her core values of sustainability, authenticity, and innovation, she’s committed to creating meaningful impact in the sailing world.

An active racer for over 15 years, she has competed in everything from dinghies to the world’s largest three-masted barque – where, at 21, she earned first place with a 115-person crew in the Tall Ship's Races. She holds a bronze medal in the RORC Baltic Sea Race (double-handed), multiple podium finishes in both offshore and inshore regattas on X-41s and J/111s, and has raced in the World Match Racing Tour and the Women’s WMRT. Today, she primarily races offshore on 40-ft keelboats and inshore on J/70s – including her own Diva 399 Est! Est!! Est!!!, which she uses for race training and corporate sailing programs.

As an instructor, Madeleine has taught adults and youth on keelboats (Diva 399, Maxi 999, 909, 84), coached J/70, J/80, and J/92 teams, and led corporate sailing events. She has also worked in yacht deliveries and charters across the Mediterranean, and completed both Atlantic and Pacific crossings.

Alongside her sailing career, Madeleine has spent over a decade in the creative outdoor, lifestyle & sports industries, leading projects in marketing, media, and brand storytelling across Europe, the US, Australia, and Canada. Her client list ranges from start-ups to global corporations, including the Star Sailors League, Pelle P, Everest International, BANFF Mountain Film Festival, Helsport, Lundhags, Ulvang, Search Magazine, and GKSS Match Cup Sweden.
